Today, "Manfredi Barbera & Figli S.p.A." is one of the most cutting-edge oil producers in the international arena. The company produces excellent products, obtained and bottled following the highest food quality, health and safety standards. 

In addition to the historic facility on via Emerico Amari in Palermo, in 2003 an exclusive production site was built in accordance with the most modern and advanced technologies, in the province of Trapani, between the magical hills of Agroericino, against the sunny and charming backdrop of Custonaci. Both the facilities and the production process are guaranteed by the most important certifications: ISO 9001, UNI11020, BRC certificate (British Retail Consortium), IFS Certificate (International Food standards) and Kosher Technical Consultants.

The facility is made up by three buildings:

The first serves as a storage warehouse for the finished product. The entire facility is temperature controlled and houses enormous silos maintained at a temperature of  18° Celsius. The oil in the tanks is stored under nitrogen to protect the product from oxidation, with a storage capacity of 70,000 kg. Adjacent to the storage area is the packaging room equipped with high-tech and innovative machinery: four completely automated lines, each specifically dedicated to packaging oil in bottles, tins and ceramic containers.  Once again nitrogen plays a fundamental role in maintaining the product at its peak quality while guaranteeing its optimum conservation over time.

The second building houses an oil mill, the first of its kind in the world. The main objective of this revolutionary machine is experimentation. The entire preparation process related to the selection, cleaning and crushing of the olives is performed outside in order to keep the interior facility completely uncontaminated during the delicate kneading process. Regarding the crushing process, no other company in the world can boast four different olive grinding systems: a disk crusher, a hammer crusher, opposing stone rollers and a pitter.

Finally, the third building, where the temperature is automatically set at 18° Celsius, 365 days a year, is used as a warehouse for finished products and packaging materials.
